Individual Counselling Adults and Young Adults

Individual counselling with Adults and Young Adults on a face to face basis.

Counselling can be offered on a short-term basis and also long-term basis. If therapy develops into long term, then two weekly appointments can be discussed as an option. You, as the client, decide how long you want your therapy to be.

Play Therapy for Children

For those who have difficulty expressing their emotions or processing their traumas.

Play therapy uses a range of play and art materials in a child centred approach in a directive or non-directive manner depending on the needs of the child. The therapist observes their play and behaviour, and responds to them in an accepting, non-judgemental way, reflecting an understanding of what it is like to live in their world.

Play therapy allows a child to feel understood and heard, difficult emotions and events are processed and helps to build resilience.

Older children may prefer to talk, or to have a mixture of both talking and using play or creative methods.
